Help Worms Head Family Rebuild after Devastating Fire

14th of July 2025, a devastating fire to through the worm head Hotel Rhossili a much loved family run business owned by the Short's. In just a few few hours, a lifetime of hard work, dreams and memories were reduced to ash. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the building has been gutted, the roof totally destroyed, and the family and staff are now facing the heartbreaking task of starting over.

The hotel has been in the centre of the village since the 1800s and has welcomed guests from all over the world with generous hospitality, and a pint or two!

A family business in every sense of the word, the hotel managers The Short family and their wonderful team have dedicated their lives to the business. The hotel wasn't just a livelihood it was their second home where they bought their passion to the heart of the community. Four years they have welcomed guests, hosted events for locals, supported nearby businesses. Now they need our help.

The fire has left them with no functioning business and a long road ahead. Insurance will only cover a fraction of what's needed to rebuild and the cost's are overwhelming. From continuing to support the staff, emergency living expenses for staff who live on site and basic necessities; to the long-term cost of structural repair repairs, and replacing their equipment, the challenges are immense.
