Help Us Support Woodrow Durham: Restoring Independence After Tragedy
On February 1st of this year, I lost one of the best friends I’ve ever had—Wesley Durham.
Just a few months later, on May 12th, Wesley’s son Woodrow was in a devastating car accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.
Woodrow has shown incredible strength and resilience through it all. I’ve visited him and stayed in touch with his mother, Carla, since the accident, and despite everything, he’s remained in surprisingly good spirits. But the road ahead is a tough one.
One of the biggest needs Woodrow will face as he begins adjusting to this new chapter in life is transportation. In order to regain a sense of independence and normalcy, he’ll need a specially equipped vehicle—complete with adaptive hand controls and professional installation.
This is where I’m asking for your help.
I’m launching this GoFundMe to raise funds toward a vehicle and necessary modifications so that Woodrow can continue moving forward in life, quite literally.
I can’t hug Wesley one more time, and I can’t give Woodrow the use of his legs back—but I can be the best friend I know how to be by doing everything in my power to support his son.
If you’re able, please donate. And if not, please share. Every bit helps.
Let’s come together to show Woodrow—and Carla—that they are not alone.
With gratitude,
Jason
