Wood is a Black 53-year-old longtime DC resident who needs money to pay for rent and medical costs. Wood is currently unhoused and suffers from diabetes. Due to his diabetes, one of his legs was amputated and the other is too swollen to move. Wood has to use a wheelchair to get around, but his wheelchair is old and broken which severely limits his mobility. Wood also uses a catheter and desperately needs a replacement catheter bag or he risks a serious infection.
