I am a doctor and activist who is helping a women-led radical grassroot mutual aid effort in New Delhi. We are fundraising for the Shahari Mahila Kamgaar Union in Delhi. To help me create more impact and touch more lives, I need your support and contribution..

The Shahari Mahila Kamgaar Union (urban women worker union) union works with women working in the unorganized sector in Gautam Puri Basti, New Delhi and Faridabad, Haryana.

The Plan:

We want to run a public information center in the township.
To help reach the welfare schemes of the government to the workers.
Help people register for vaccinations
Help train community members get trained on the internet.

Needs:
Telecommunication worker- Who will be trained and paid for the work. Estimated cost for one year INR 3,00,000 or USD 4000

Who are we:

Chaand Ohri-India-born internal medicine physician in Washington DC, USA.
Anita Kapoor- Core member of the women-led organisation called Shahari Mahila Kamgaar Union

Transparency:

I will be transferring all the funds 100% directly into Anita Kapoor’s bank account. I will be saving receipts of the transactions.
