Help Women in Aviation SJSU attend the 2025 WAI Conference

Dear Donors,
We are the Women in Aviation student organization at San Jose State University. We would like to raise funds to attend the next Women in Aviation International Conference in Denver, Colorado! The Conference will be held from March 27th-29th 2025 and we hope to reach our goal by March 15th.
Our organization promotes diversity and inclusion in the aviation industry, in which women only make up 7% of its entirety! We work tirelessly to connect students to important industry professionals, job opportunities, and industry events. Our members include pilots, management, and operations students who are dedicated to furthering themselves both professionally and personally. This field can be exclusive, and we're here to support those who may be facing challenges or feeling left out.
Additionally, we have also engaged in philanthropic and outreach events focused on promoting our ideals to interested youth while also promoting the increase of women in the field of aviation. We remain extremely active within our local community, whether it be volunteering at airports, organizing events within our department, or hosting our own Girls in Aviation Day outreach event. The dedication and hard-work that each member has put in to making our club better has immensely paid off, and we believe that we could extremely benefit from attending this world-renowned conference that is dedicated to the same cause.
The Women in Aviation International Conference hosts industry professionals all around the world, and provides meaningful networking and professional growth opportunities for women in aviation. With women only making up about 7% of pilots, it is crucial for us to have these channels of communication, networking, and support due to this clear underrepresentation. Attending this conference will open doors for the members of this club, where we will meet like-minded individuals who can support us through our professional endeavors, provide meaningful pathways for career development, and possibly even provide members with job opportunities on the spot.
We are asking that you help sponsor us for this amazing opportunity, by donating to this page so that we can afford tickets to the conference, which are $200 each. We will also be using these funds to help pay for other necessities for our stay, such as transportation, hotel, and food costs. We plan to bring 18 members, who are all individually ecstatic about this opportunity.
We hope you consider donating to our cause! If you would like to know more about our club, please check out our Instagram page: @womeninaviationsjsu.
