Help WKP fix our newly vandalized bus!

WKP (Will Kempe's Players) is the only member-owned cooperative that produces and performs Shakespeare within the United States! WKP takes great pride in the work we do onstage and within the communities we serve. Since 2017 WKP has staged Shakespeare’s classics--like A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Othello, and Hamlet outdoors, as Shakespeare himself would have presented them. 


WKP is ready to expand our geographic footprint, and so one of our founders bought a retired school bus and just as we were getting ready to convert it into our “show wagon,” somebody made the choice to bust out all of the windows and change our plans abruptly. The bus still runs fine, and for that we are thankful. Despite these damages and increased expenses, we will soon begin repairs and conversions:


we are replacing all the broken glass,
repainting, 
removing seats, 
installing features to make it a scenic background,
building both lights and sound rigging, 
installing safety measures and cargo holds,
and
converting to biodiesel.
