Help Wiz Walk Again
Donation protected
Hello, I’m Sally and I am fundraising for my special little working cocker spaniel dog, called Wiz……
2 weeks ago Wiz jumped out of the car boot as usual, for his morning walk and in a flash was injured, losing control of his limbs before my eyes, becoming paralysed within the hour….
Wiz was taken to the vets and after numerous blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound, investigations and later a MRI Scan it was found Wiz had suffered a Hydrated nucleus pulposus extrusion (HNPE), similar to a slipped disc in humans….
during the MRI Scan Wiz suffered a cardiac arrest and was given life support and placed in intensive care. He luckily pulled through and after 3 days was allowed to come home.
The prognosis is good for a full recovery but it will take time. Wiz needs constant care and support as needs help to start walking again as well as Physiotherapy.
I have had to take time off work to look after him and being a single person it is hard…I’m on low income and could not afford to carry on with his insurance when Covid struck.
Wiz is the sweetest, kindest little dog and did not deserve this cruel twist of fate and I will never give up until I see him chasing the pheasants again… throughout all his treatment, his tail still wags, amazing veterinary staff and all who meet him….
Please help me provide the best care and treatment he deserves, the costs are overwhelming and I feel drained with worry…. any donations would be greatly appreciated…
Thank you all so much x
