Josh Wallis (Witty Wyandotte) and his wife, Tate, were riding their motorcycles to Colorado when he was involved in a motorcycle accident near Clayton, NM on Tuesday, June 13. Josh was wearing gear and a helmet, but sustained major injuries to his left leg and other minor injuries. After receiving initial care in NM, he was lifeflight (fixed wing) to Amarillo, TX, where they were able to run more tests. His injuries were found to be more serious and he was then lifeflight (helicopter) to Lubbock, TX.
Josh is currently stable in the ICU in Lubbock and has completed his first surgery and is scheduled to complete two more in the next few days on his leg It is expected that he will be in Texas for a few weeks/months before being able to be transferred back home to Oklahoma. Josh will be unable to work for a few months even after returning home and his wife will be by his side in Texas to care for him. So both will be out of work for the next few of months.
Josh’s bike is totaled and is currently in New Mexico but there are plans in place to retrieve them and get them back to Oklahoma.
This fundraiser is to raise money to help Josh and his family with his rising medical expenses, Josh and Tate’s time away from work, a local place in Texas for their family to stay while Josh is in the hospital, and other general expenses while he’s healing. All money will be deposited directly to the family’s account.
