Help with Wilson's Vet Bills

Wilson, Wilson, Wilson... Where do I begin?... I could go all the way back to the beginning and talk about how he was rescued off the streets of Baja Mexico.. twice.. Or how he spent months going to the adoption site, growling at old men and barking at other dogs before he finally chose us for his forever home... I could tell you about all of his issues, run-ins, problems, and how big of a pain in the butt he is. But those stories do not compare to the ones of devotion, protection, unconditional love and just plain silliness he brings to my/our life. I don't know what I would do without him. And I'm not the only one.
Seeing him sick is heartbreaking. For the past week he has not been eating anything. He's lethargic, gaunt looking, shakes constantly and pants, showing that he's in pain/not comfortable at all. He's had multiple tests and blood work done. We started off thinking it was something he ate, then questioned parasites, pancreatitis was also discussed, but all tests came back negative!
Good right??!! Yes and no...
It means more tests were needed. He had to go to the Emergency Vet for an ultrasound because they still couldn't determine why he was in pain and not eating. Then he had to stay overnight for IV fluids because he was so dehydrated.
So here's the run down of it all-
His first official office visit (3/11) was $200 for fecal/parasite tests, special food, antibiotics and puppy probiotics. Second visit (3/13) was $300 for blood work, labs, and pain medicine. Then (3/15) to the ER Vet for $1,200 for the ultrasound, IV/fluids overnight, more testing and more meds,..
Their conclusion? They think he may have an ulcer!! Who knew dogs got ulcers??
*Apparently they don't always show themselves until they're so bad that there needs to be some medical intervention.*
Having some answers is great, but the journey doesn't end here. We need to make sure there's no other underlying issue that may be causing the ulcer.
NOW he needs- more blood testing just to make sure it's not related to kidney or other diseases ($300+) and a follow up ultrasound of his stomach ($500+) to make sure the meds he is on are helping his ulcer to heal!
So here I am with a Go Fund Me account.. Unable to afford all that my little boy needs. This is me asking for a little help. Whatever you can manage. I set the bar at $2000 which is the total cost of services when all is said and done. (Hopefully there won't be any other surprises.)
After dealing with, and paying off my own knee surgery in November, I hoped we'd be done with medical stuff for awhile... And then this... I know times are tough and money is tight for a lot of people, but I hope that you can find a way to give a little (or a lot) to help a friend out. I greatly appreciate any amount you may be able to give...
Lots of love to you all!
