Help with visa situation

Hi Friends,

Mayara here - as you may know, I moved to the US from Brazil five years ago to study for my Master's and Ph.D. with a Student Visa. However moving to the US for me also meant the opportunity to feel safe where you live, as I lived with the fear of getting mugged or worse because of the high crime rates throughout Brazil.

The US gave me all of that and more - my friends and church are here; this is my home!

Since the day I set foot here I’ve worked full time (through internships and other work) so I can pay for my school and maintain my legal student visa status. I pay for out-of-state tuition in full which is much more costly than in-state tuition.

I’ve seen God open miraculous doors lately that has been a desire in my heart. I was granted the opportunity to start a full-time position post-internship that would allow me to use my degrees!

However, the work permit I currently hold, attached to my student visa is not accepted by my company to hire me as a full-time employee, which means I would need a special visa instead.

This special visa is also special in price - it’s super costly, and far from anything that I can afford, but I am believing that what God has begun He will complete. I felt a tug from God to ask and He will be faithful in my faith.
