Most of you know but to those that don’t, our dad, Vincent Godwin, won his battle with cancer on November 18th and is now pain free and brand new again in the arms of our loving Jesus and reunited with his mom and dad. Unfortunately these last 3 months, since his diagnosis in August, have been a whirlwind of emotions and constant ups and downs, including him losing the ability to work and due to that, he lost the life insurance policy he had through work. Me (his daughter, Tristan) and my mom, being his primary caretakers, also had to miss a lot of work and use any extra money we had to help to cover other medical expenses. So needless to say, without any income or life insurance, it has left us in a tough battle financially to cover the cost of his arrangements.
Dad was definitely always the life of any party and since he did not want a funeral, we plan to do a celebration of life, or as we like to say “a good ole Godwin party” to be planned and announced at a later date. But at this time, our need is to cover the cost of his cremation and the fees to handle the few assets he did leave behind. We hate having to ask for the help and if you’re not able, we completely understand. But we know Daddy was well known and loved by so many who have already reached out to ask how to help so I thought putting this out, would be the easiest and simplest way to share what is needed at this time.
