Help with vet bills to save Flossie
Donation protected
Hi my name is Lara, those that know me know I am lucky enough to have Flossie, an amazing little brown cocker spaniel. Flossie came into my life 2 years ago and has been by my side since. She's the sweetest little dog in the world who does not deserve what she’s currently going through.
It started 3 weeks ago when she had a very aggressive upset tummy and became very unwell. Since then she’s spent nearly 2 weeks in veterinary hospital, had numerous tests and then on Sunday she went dramatically downhill which resulted in her having to have emergency surgery to remove a blockage. She was about to be discharged yesterday morning when her blood pressure dived and it transpired she had developed sepsis. We then rushed her to a specialist hospital called Langford where she had second emergency surgery yesterday afternoon followed by a blood transfusion and it’s very much touch and go as to whether she will pull through as throughout this whole horrific ordeal her weight has dropped from 11kg to 7.5kg. Her little body is fighting to stay alive. I have insurance for her but the limit is £12500 and unfortunately the vet hospital fees will far exceed this. The vets are being amazing and doing everything they can for her but she has a long journey ahead of her and we are praying for a miracle. She remains in a critical condition but if anyone can do it my Flossie can.
100% of the funds will go to covering Flossie’s medical bills as of 16 April. All money raised past the vet fees will be donated to the PDSA, a fantastic organisation that helps fund veterinary care for those who cannot afford it.
Thank you so so much - even a penny is such a help and so appreciated. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this. Keep your fingers and paws tightly crossed for her and I’ll keep you all updated on Flossie’s progress. Fingers crossed she’ll be back home soon Xx
