Help with Tucker’s long road of recovery ahead
Donation protected
Tucker is a senior in college ( supposed to graduate with a business management degree on May 7th) He and his girlfriend Emma had driven to Washington DC from Maine for a weekend get away to visit the monuments , museums and a baseball game. While in DC he suffered from a neurological event which caused him to fall and hit his head. This fall fractured his skull and caused a multi level brain bleed. He is now in SICU at Howard University hospital and looking at an extended stay in DC. At this point his Dr.s want him to stay in DC for therapy/rehab even after he is released from the hospital as travel with be to dangerous for him with the brain injury. Tucker had suffered a TBI with a brain bleed from a snowboarding accident when he was 16 and this makes his current situation even more serious. His family drove down to be with him and Emma and are staying at a hotel at night and spending as many hours a day with him that the hospital staff will allow. (8 to 10 hours a day) Tucker is considered stable and this point and making small improvements each day towards recovery. Tucker is a Asst Baseball coach at the local middle school and he and his family are very involved in their community. If you are able to help in anyway, it is greatly appreciated.
