Kris’s life turned upside down on January 11th, 2021. Having always been considered a healthy and active 55 year old man it was a shock when he was rushed to the ER for what appeared to be a stroke. After a cat scan he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Kris was immediately rushed to OKC for further treatment. Surgeons removed a grapefruit sized tumor which pathologists determined to be a grade 4 glioblastoma (terminal brain cancer). Although surgeons removed all visible cells, this cancer is very aggressive and likely to reoccur. Kris is the proud father of 6 children, 12 grandchildren (one of which was born on the day of his surgery) and one great grandchild. He has a lot of living left to do and hopes to teach these grands how to hunt, fish and simply enjoy each new day. Kris and his wife Terri will be traveling to OKC for chemo/radiation in the hopes of keeping this deadly cancer away. Therapy will be daily and last for several weeks. Kris has always been a hard working family man but will be unable to provide for his family during this crucial time. Terri will be driving him to these appts and therefore unable to work while caring for him. Reluctantly, as most of us would be, they will be dependent on family and friends for financial support to help cover the mounting medical bills and travel expenses. Please donate to this emergency fund if you are able. Thank you and may God bless each of you!
