In August 2020 We went to do a eye examination for Drivers Ed and found out that my beautiful 15 year old daughter has something not quite right with her eyes. After 1 ophthalmologist and 2 separate Retina specialists we found out she has a rare eye disease. “Stargardt’s disease” As of now her eye sight is 20/80 in her right eye and 20/400 in her left eye and getting worse. Making her legally blind. It’s been hard for her to know that she is going to have to give up driving and to know that she is going to have to work a little harder than kids her age to work and achieve her goals but She is an amazing student at the TFHS that has tried so hard not to let this stop her from achieving her goals. She is a cheerleader that just made it to state with her team. We couldn’t be more proud of her. With rapid progression and no chance as of now with no cure. We are doing gene testing in Salt lake we are involved with different organizations in Idaho for the blind. As well as praying they do a gene therapy that she may qualify for. Between Seeing specialist in Salt Lake and Boise. And At the same time we found out that my youngest daughter has to go back and forth to Salt Lake to the Shriners hospital and Primary Children hospital for specialist with a possible diagnosis of Elher’s Danlos Syndrome. With a possibility of a knee surgery at 5years old. Travel and Hotels have not been cheap we definitely try hard to do the very best we can to keep going. I was asked to make a go fund me account so that family and friends could help. We are feeling so blessed and thankful to have such amazing friends and family. Please do not worry if you can’t help just send a prayer our way. Thank you again❤️
