Damian’s medical fundraiser

Hi, my name is Porsche, I’m setting up this go fund me for my boyfriend of 8 years, Damian Rice. He is 25 years old, we also have a 3 year old son which makes everything just a little more difficult. He was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive NON Hodgkin’s lymphoma last summer. When he was diagnosed he couldn’t dress himself, wear shoes, or even sleep laying down! I had to help him with every day tasks. He started chemotherapy in August and everything was going well and the cancer was going away, he ended chemo in February, meanwhile while he was going through all that he’s at home alone watching our son while I work full time to provide for us. I was having to take off the days of his treatments since they we would be at the hospital for about 6 hours. On the days of treatment we would drop our son off an hour away at his grandparents, then drive another hour to the hospital for his treatment. Once chemo was done we’d drive an hour back to pick up our son and then another hour back home, meanwhile Damian already gets car sick and with the side effects of chemo made it even worse, along with about a week or so of needing help with daily things due to the side effects as well. The cancer had a 70% chance of being gone when he was done in February. Within a few weeks it has come back to original stage. This week he starts going back for tests and treatments every 2 weeks again. He gets so ill and soar from treatment that he will need asstiance with all daily activities again. With me working full time and it being our only income, I’m not going to be able to be home to watch him or our son all the time. All the funds will go towards medical and travel expenses and also towards travel costs to get our son to and from his grandparents. We now moved due to my job so we now both reside in Upper MI,  which is a little over 2.5 hours from the cancer center in Wausau (as we are still in the process of possibly transferring to a different hospital that’s closer)
