REDESIGNING THE LEAVING SIDDHA YOGA WEBSITE

Leaving Siddha Yoga https://www.leavingsiddhayoga.net/ is a public service website, an archive of testimonials and media articles critical of Siddha Yoga, the SYDA Foundation, Swami Muktananda and Swami Chidvilasananda, aka Gurumayi.

This site serves as an important source of information. Like a vibrant garden, over the years it has grown. It now needs tending and organizing. An anonymous contributor and I have identified a web designer who we want to hire to redesign the site, so it is organized and accessible. This fundraiser is to cover the web designer’s fee.

If you would like to support this work , please donate any amount you can. The fundraiser will be suspended after we reach $2,500. We do not anticipate further costs, but in that unlikely event, I will restart the fundraiser. No funds, other than what is needed to cover the designer fees, will be solicited or accepted.

We recommend that you make your donation anonymously, to avoid exposure to persons who might view this project unfavorably.

I am Daniel Shaw, a former SYDA staff member, from 1985-1992. I was known then as Sureshwar Schweid, and worked on tour and as manager of the Manhattan ashram.

Since leaving Siddha Yoga, I have become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a psychotherapist in private practice and a psychoanalytic author and educator. My website is here: www.danielshawlcsw.com. I do not accept former Siddha Yoga members in my psychotherapy practice. Instead, I refer those who inquire of me to other available resources.

NOTE: I do not, and no other person does, derive any profit from the website. I was not the original creator of the site; I took it over in the late 90s, and have paid out of pocket to maintain the site since that time. I will continue to cover these annual maintenance costs.
