Help With The Cost Of Rusty’s Surgery

When my grandfather passed away in August we needed to find a new home for his dog, Rusty. After realizing that he would fit best with me, I took him home to Texas. This little guy has been through a lot and now he is needing surgery. He has a small tumor that could potentially be cancerous but it needs to be removed as soon as possible. If it is not removed it could cause further health issues. 

Rusty is an older dog but he has a lot of life left in him. He pitter patters around before we go on potty breaks because he gets so excited! When he is getting pets, he will nudge you with his head as hard as his little body can so that you keep going. He loves ALL people, especially new friends. He is the sweetest little guy. The vet says that he gets around extremely well for his age and I believe he deserves the chance to live a longer life! 

I didn’t think I could love a dog this much but the idea of having to put this little guy down when he has so much life to live breaks my heart. He basically goes everywhere with us, sometimes even restaurants (ridiculous, I know).

Since we live in a major city (Houston), the cost of the surgery is quite expensive. The vet says that there may be additional treatments needed but as of now they expect the surgery to cost around $1,600.
