Hi everyone,

For those who may not know, my best friend’s dad, Chuck, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest on July 8th and has been hospitalized ever since. He is in end-stage heart failure and is in need of an LVAD and a heart transplant in the future. He has since been transferred to a hospital in Raleigh to receive more specialized care and remains in the ICU for the foreseeable future.

Chuck and his wife, Annette, live about 3 hours from Raleigh and are also the primary caregivers for her elderly parents, who live with them. As you can imagine, the emotional and physical toll of this situation is overwhelming — and the financial burden of travel expenses, medical bills, and time away from work only adds to the stress.

Annette and Chuck are truly some of the most generous and selfless people you could ever meet. They have always been the first to step in and help others in times of need.
