Taylor Hastings

Hello. My name is Taylor. I was in a head on collision on 5/24/21. My boyfriend and I were hit by someone who fell asleep at the wheel at a high speed. I was in the passenger seat. My boyfriend attempted to swerve out of her way but it was too late. Majority of the impact was to the passenger side. I was crushed by the door and glove compartment. I had to be cut out of the car. I have a right humerus fracture, rib fractures, a grade four liver laceration, a spleen laceration, I had internal bleeding from the liver which had to be surgically repaired. My broken arm was surgically repaired with three plates and screws. I am currently admitted to the ICU to monitor for internal bleeding. They are also monitoring the progress of my right arm surgery. I currently have a nerve block and have no feeling to my right arm. I am a Nurse and will be unable to do my job for at least four months according to my doctors. I will have extensive medical bills including physical therapy. Our only car is totaled. My boyfriend has pulled muscles in his upper and lower back, his chest and thighs. He will be unable to work for the next month or so as his job deals with lifting. We have bills that I do not know how we are going to pay.
