Hello. My name is Anthony and my English Bulldog's name is Winston. I have always wanted an English Bulldog and finally in February of 2021 I was able to finally make this dream come true. He has been the joy of my world ever since he entered my life. He is extremely loving, stubborn, caring, buff, and did I say stubborn (but in the most funny bulldog ways)! Unfortunately while his body overall is very healthy, he has been plagued with eye issues his whole life (Winston is only 1 year and 7 months old). He is currently at the eye specialist undergoing his second major surgery (first one was for double cherry eye surgery), this time it is to fix his four eyelids that are curling inward making his eyelashes scrape his eyeballs. The doctor has told me all the reasons why he is high risk on top of the normal stuff that makes surgery so unpredictable and needless to say I am beyond stressed. On top of this he has a major ulcer in his right eye that may require another surgery if today's procedure and follow up meds don't start showing improvement. The doctor told me he has a 60% chance of it healing naturally after this surgery, but if they don't see improvement by Tuesday they will need to perform another surgery to graft his right cornea which will cost a few more thousand dollars. I never ask for help, especially financially, and this is extremely hard for me to do, but this being his third surgery in just the 15 months I've had him is just becoming extremely hard for me. Anything will help and will be extremely appreciated. At this point I just don't know what to do. I love my dog with all of my being and I just want Winston to have his eyes in good health and for us all to get through this. Thank you for reading.
