Help with Surgery and Recovery for Target Cashier

On November 22, I was lint rolling my pants before work, somehow lost my balance, fell, and fractured my L1 & L4 vertebrae. I’m signed up for CaSDI, but it’s not enough to keep the phones turned on, the cats fed and medicated, and my car insured.

I have severe osteoporosis and the bones aren’t healing themselves, so surgery is scheduled for January 23rd. I don’t have a date yet for when I can return to work; I am a cashier at Target, and I am nowhere near able to do 4 (let alone 8!) hours on my feet. Christmas dinner with the family was challenging, and I’m missing out on life these days. I’m hopeful that once I have the surgery and start PT, I’ll bounce back quickly and can return to my real life.
