Hi, I am Kateryna, and I am from Kharkiv, Ukraine. Kharkiv has been under the barrage of Russian air and rocket strikes since the first hours of war with Russia. Hundreds of thousands of people have already left Kharkiv, but some have remained. Among those that remain are my sister and brother-in-law, who are well-known Ukrainian porcelain artists. Anya and Slava remain in Kharkiv to defend it and help the most vulnerable affected by the war. They are purchasing and delivering medicine to cancer patients, delivering clothes and hygiene items, and buying pet food for animal shelters and for a great number of pets, abandoned during this war. They are risking their lives daily, delivering the much-needed supplies to where they are needed most inside Kharkiv. Anya and Slava are now collecting money to purchase a pick-up truck to transport humanitarian aid more efficiently within the city.
