My name is Sonya Tripp & I have had the privilege of being friends with Steve & Robin Peyton for more than 35 years.
As many of you know, Steve Peyton suffered a hemorrhagic stroke this week, which is the brain bleeding type. The stroke affected his front right side of his brain. He is currently in ICU and when he is able to be removed from the IV blood pressure medications, he will be moved to a room and then he can begin therapy. Steve still has his wit about him...he just needs time to recover. He is strong and there's no doubt in my mind that he will fight to overcome this obstacle that he is facing...he's just that stubborn & determined!
Steve & Robin are self-employed as hairdressers & have no insurance. The recovery process will affect both of their incomes. Prior to the stroke, they had been off work for a week due to the ice storm. They will have to make modifications to their home to accommodate Steve when he's able to come home to complete the recovery process.
Anyone that knows Steve, can attest to the fact that he would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He has been so strong for countless friends and family members (& for Robin as well), and now I think it would be so awesome for us to be able to show him what an impact & lasting impression he has made on so many of our lives. I am sure any little bit that you can give to help with Steve's medical/recovery expenses will help ease the financial and emotional burden that they are both experiencing at this time and I know they would be so appreciative!!
