Hi my name is Salina Mayer and I recently had a baby via emergency csection. I had a uterine rupture on 2-19-23, although my husband was very excited because he thought my water broke I was actually bleeding out. So we rushed to the hospital and had an emergency csection because the baby couldnt be found on the monitor because we both had the same heart rate. Israel Isiah Mayer was born at 3pm ish at 34 weeks and 1 day. Which anything before 37 weeks is considered preemie, so he was airlifted out because his lungs weren't yet developed. I on the other hand have preeclampsia and have blood pressure issues that I've never had before along with healing from such a chaotic situation. I have yet to see my son because I'm not well enough to make that venture. But fortunately when I went for a check up I told them I'm still having issues even more than before. So tests were ran and found out im anemic and my liver enzymes are also off. So I was discharged without having a complete check up. My Hope's are to actually make that trip to iowa city and be admitted to get myself real healthcare. My husband has been driving back and forth from iowa city since he was born. While he is in a hotel that is discounted by the hospital it's starting to get expensive. Also my support system keeping me afloat has to return back to life and I'm not ok to be alone yet.. we have 2 dogs that need sitters and are currently in conflict with those circumstances. My Hope's are that we could possibly with yalls help get some help financially to be able to take our dogs out with us and all stay as a family and myself be admitted so I can finally see my baby for the first time since he was born.
