On the evening of May 30th, our mother, friend and well known member of our tight knit community, Sheri DeFazio, was struck by an out of control and under the influence driver who fled the scene and left her with severe injuries. Her family and friends are extremely grateful to say that she survived the incident, however it wasn’t without the need for life flight transportation and a stay in the ICU.

This gofundme was made by her children, in response to many, many members of our so loved community who have graciously and selflessly offered to help with expenses. We have been overwhelmed by the immense amount of support we have been given during this time. We have lived and grown in Coloma for the last 20 years. Our roots here are deep, and we are feeling more connected to our home now more than ever. It has been amazing to see our community come together to ensure our mom’s well being, and we sincerely thank you for all of the outreach we have been receiving. Above all else, we are immensely grateful that our mom is still with us and are doing everything we can to make her recovery as comfortable as possible.

As for donations, we have set the goal at $100. While we know the out of pocket expenses will far exceed this amount, we’d like this fundraiser to be as open ended as possible and are asking that you donate any amount you feel comfortable doing so if any at all.
