We come to you today with a heartfelt request for our dear friend Sheena. Sheena is a vibrant soul, full of life and dreams, a fighter whose spirit is shining through the darkest of times. Sheena has been in the ICU since mid October 2023 and faced an unimaginable challenge, enduring extensive brain damage resulting from continuous seizures after accidental fentanyl poisoning. She now lies in a coma, supported by a tracheotomy and receiving the necessary pain medications.
As we stand by Sheena's and her family’s side, the next step in her journey involves moving her to a long-term care Intensive Care Unit located out of town. Here, she will receive the dedicated attention required for her ongoing treatment, and will provide her with the best possible chance for recovery.
Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that insurance will not cover the costs of the long-term ICU care that Sheena requires.
