Hello, my name is Matt Freeman. I am the head coach of the Owensboro Bombers Post 9 American Legion baseball team. Not long ago, our beloved general manager, Scott Dotson, suffered a severe spinal cord injury. He was hospitalized at Owensboro Health and he is slowly beginning to recover. He has since been moved to a nursing rehabilitation center where he undergoes therapy that will help him regain the use of his arms and legs. His doctors have told him he has a long road to recovery.
Scott has always been a servant leader. For the past 40 years, he has been a member of the Owensboro Optimist Club, fundraising money for youth in our local community. In his free time, he serves as the general manager of the Post 9 Bombers American Legion baseball team. Seven years ago he came up with the idea for the Bombers to host a baseball tournament to raise money for the Jimmy V Foundation for cancer research. This annual tournament has raised more than $20,000.
It is time to give back to someone who has done so much good in this world and help him get back to doing what he loves most; helping others. As he wages the battle of his life, he needs our support financially. These funds will help cover the costs of his medical rehab. Please consider a donation of any size. Thank you.
