Help with Sadie's Vet fees
Donation protected
Meet Sadie, our beloved Pug, who is usually vibrant and full of life. Those who know her understand that she is quite the vocal little lady, always eager to be heard by everyone around her.
On Friday, May 2nd, she underwent what was supposed to be a routine surgery at Dick White Referrals to remove a lump from her chest/neck area. Unfortunately, complications arose, leading to the placement of a tracheostomy tube in the very area that was just operated on.
Despite her best efforts to recover without the tube, she required additional airway surgery on Wednesday, May 7th, which has gone well so far. However, due to these complications, she has had to remain in ICU. Surprisingly, she seems to enjoy her time there, nestled in a cozy 'cot', constantly monitored and able to observe the activity around her.
This care, however, comes with significant expenses. We typically do not ask for financial help, but any contribution you can make towards her ongoing treatment would be greatly appreciated.
Sadie is not just a pet; she is a vital emotional and disability support dog for my Mum, who Is deeply missing her as we all are, we long to have our family reunited, as Sadie is cherished by all of us. Thank you for your kindness and support.
** Update 17/5/25 **
Sadie has come home with a permanent Traci in and is almost her normal bubbly self with some changes.
She is no longer a loud mouthy self as she can no longer make a noise when she barks and has to go out with a bandana on to protect her 'hole' also still getting use to sleeping and making sure she has space around her neck to breathe.
She is going to be undergoing regular check ups at Dick White Referrals and also all going well starting chemo in the next month.
We would still appreciate any help you can with paying off some of her vet fees and to help thank the team at DWR
