Help Bless the Rothwell Family ❤️

As many of you who are coming to this page know, Tim and Sasha Rothwell gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Liesl Ophelia, on 7/19 and we are grateful to God for her blessed arrival. However, this was not the delivery they were expecting and had complications involving a trip to UVA for a C-section and subsequent admission to the NICU for Liesl’s oxygen levels. After much testing, the doctors became aware that Liesl Ophelia was born without a thyroid which was the root of her health issues. All things considered, there is a relatively simple solution for her condition that will not involve surgery so we praise God for that! However, it has taken her a while to adapt to the medication needed for her missing thyroid, which has caused an extended stay. They have been at UVA now for two long weeks as they are continuing to stabilize Liesl’s oxygen and bilirubin levels before returning home. As you can imagine, a two week (or more) stay at UVA is not cheap and estimated hospital bills for this are approaching $80,000. Please continue to pray for their quick and safe return home so they can begin to adjust to “normal” life.

Due to the extended stay at UVA and Tim driving back and forth to check on the farm in spite of help from friends and neighbors, they needed someone to watch their other children, and Sasha’s brother and sister-in-law came to the rescue. They have been in Ohio during this time and recently were involved in a car accident which has totaled the Rothwell’s Econoline van. Once again, God’s Providence has shown through as no one was injured outside of a few bruises. This is also a major hit to the family as that was their main vehicle for transportation. They are working with claims adjusters now but that will be yet another large, unexpected expense of looking for another van in their budget to replace the totaled one.

This page is a way we can assist Tim, Sasha and their 8 children as they try to find the new normal for their family and the excessive expenses they now face. The goal we set of $85,000 is probably just the beginning of their expenses, but no matter what this amounts to, it will help.
