Hi everyone,
Ronnie is a tough, dedicated, funny 12 year old that broke his back this past November racing motocross, something he loves. During the testing it was discovered that Ronnie has a right aortic arch (heart) and noticed some thickening by his heart. After multiple tests it was confirmed he has a right aortic arch and vascular ring, which is where part of his heart is squeezing his esophagus making hard for him to breath. Doctors also found a subclavian artery that will need to be removed and placed in a different spot. He will be having heart surgery on May 2nd. This is an extensive surgery that requires going through both his back and chest. He will remain in ICU for a week to be monitored. Ronnie will then move to a rehabilitation center for up to a month. All of this requires his family to be away from work, travel time and hotel stays, along with heavy medical expenses.
