Help With Reese’s Medical Expenses

Hey, my name is Jennifer Colburn and I have a son, Reese Colburn. Most of you know his story but for those who don’t know. Reese was born with a congenital heart defect called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. This is when the left chamber doesn’t develop during neonatal. He had his first open heart surgery at birth, then two more by the time he was two years old at Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

His heart isn’t able to get enough oxygenated blood flow to the other organs. Therefore over the years causing other medical complications. He now has developed cirrhosis of the liver and has an enlarged spleen.

So unfortunately it’s time for Reese to go back to Children’s Hospital in Boston for a heart catheter and an evaluation of the liver. This will help determine if he needs a dual heart/liver transplant or to see if the physicians can reroute or coil off some arteries to help give more oxygenated blood flow.

We have been blessed with love, prayers and words of encouragement. So many people have messaged to ask how they can help. So I have set up a way for those who would like to help and support Reese. As most of you know medical expenses can be overwhelming and draining.

All donations will help cover the cost of medical bills and travel cost to Boston.
