As many of you know in October my son Larry was diagnosed with tumors in his brain and spine. After a biopsy was done, they were found to be non cancerous but inoperable. He completed 30 radiation treatments (5 days a week for 6 weeks) from his entire brain to just above the belt line in his back. Both Larry and his wife (Angie) took leave from work while the treatments were being done at Sibley Hospital in DC. Since finishing radiation Larry’s condition has gotten worse. He has double/blurry vision. Pain in his head and back. Incredible weight loss and recently stomach issues. He’s become very weak and fatigued. The Dr has made him a fall risk and he’s now using a wheelchair and home health aid equipment to help around the house with everyday tasks. Return to work in the near future is unlikely for Larry or Angie while more tests are being done to find the cause of the recent symptoms.
