Dear friends and family, as many of you know, after years of trying to save my foot and putting everything I had into the process, I had to have it amputated last year. I truly believed I was on the road to recovery, and I moved to Madison from Tuscaloosa to start a new chapter in my life. Unfortunately, I’ve had ongoing complications with my leg, mostly infections, which forced me to take more time off to focus on healing. During this recovery, I found myself struggling with depression. Being away from everyone I care about made things even harder, and I reached a point where I couldn’t fight through it with a positive attitude alone. I’ve never been this far behind on bills or felt so low, but I finally reached out for professional help and started getting the support I needed. I’m so close to getting to the other side of this, but I need a little help to make it through. The funds raised will go toward my medical bills and living expenses while I recover and work toward getting back on my foot. Any help is deeply appreciated. And if anyone reading this feels like I did, please remember there’s no shame in asking for help and seeking treatment. Thank you for your support.
