Help with purchasing essential medical equipment

Hey! My name is Jakob. My friend, 25, is currently dealing with a ton of medical problems. For the sake of protecting his identity because I didn’t ask if I could do this for him, I won't be attaching his name to this, and if you know him I ask that you don't either. He just got out of the hospital after a pulmonary embolism killed some of the cells in his lungs, he's lost a lot of function and mobility, his doctors think he has ALS, he has a ton of mental health issues, he doesn't have any family who are willing to support him, and to top it all off, his ASV sleep ventilator broke.

He obviously can't hold a job right now, and the disability process is long and difficult to navigate.

At the moment, the issue that is the most pressing is that he can't get good sleep because he stops breathing in his sleep, which is why he uses the ASV machine, but it broke. Sleep is 100% necessary to even begin to fight through this.

I'm asking for enough money so that he can cover the cost of this expensive piece of medical equipment. Anything donated on top of that will go to covering the expenses of fixing his electric wheelchair, travel to his doctor's appointments, and covering food costs for him.

Even if we don't reach the goal, any amount would be helpful in covering the astronomical cost of dealing with these problems. Thank you so much for reading.
