Hi, I’m starting this fundraiser to help pay for our sweet boys unexpected medical bills. Pumpkin is currently in kidney failure and having to be hospitalized at 1st Pet emergency clinic.

Last week he started throwing up bile around the house so we took him in when we noticed he wasn’t getting better after a couple days. They did X-rays and gave him cerenia for his nausea and sent us home. He seemed to perk up while on the medication. We had a vacation planned to go to Montana and visit my grandparents and figured it was ok to go since he was feeling better and we had family to take care of him and the rest of our fur babies. After four days, our plans to come home were thrown off when unexpected snow storm, which cancelled our flight back. From there we weren’t able to get home till late Wednesday night. When we got home he was laying in the middle of the hallway and was stiff and lethargic. He didn’t even get up to great us and we immediately knew something was wrong. We rushed him to 1st Pet and they informed us that he was severely dehydrated but his vitals were all ok. We opted to leave him there for a little while so that he could get fluids and so they could run diagnostics. Later on we got a call saying that he is in severe kidney failure and they think he may have ingested some kind of toxin. Now he’s notorious for eating things he’s not supposed to but for the life of us we can’t figure out what he got into. Now we are just praying that he is able to recover so that he can live a healthy life after this, but for now he has a long ways to go. He will be hospitalized for the next 48 hours and be reevaluated every 12-24 hours.

Pumpkin has been my best friend, companion, and therapy cat for the last 6 years! I can’t even begin to explain how much he means to me and to Shaun. Anyone who knows him knows that he is extremely special and loving. He’s made a huge impact on all of our lives and we can’t imagine it without him. We are just asking for help to get him home healthy and keep him that way. Love and prayers are very much appreciated during this difficult time! Thank you and love you all!
