Hello. My name is Krys and I am a long time friend to the Tully family.

On the evening of August 18, 2021, Michele & Steve’s daughter Payton complained of a headache. Then suddenly started stuttering and had numbness on her left side. Payton is 15 years old and too young to have a stroke but all the immediate signs pointed in that direction. That night she lost her ability to speak but is slowly regaining her speech.

After five days in the hospital and endless tests, they ruled out a stroke but aren’t any closer to knowing what caused this. In the meantime, Payton continues to live with severe debilitating headaches, impaired speech, and is unable to stand/walk/bear her own weight.

Michele is looking into all other options for testing and treatment. Things like this just don’t happen to an otherwise healthy 15 year old.

In the meantime, medical bills are adding up. Just today, Payton had to visit the ER again. She will need to undergo intense physical and speech therapies. Modifications may be needed in the home to accommodate Payton’s abilities.

Steve and Michele are loving, responsible, and hard working parents. Michele is always the first to give to someone in need. Even to a random person on the street or parking lot.

Michele had to take a leave of absence from her job as a caregiver. A job she does from her heart and is extremely good at. With the loss of her income, the family is already worried about medical bills and caring for Payton and lil sister, Addie.
