Hi everyone, My name is Shanelle. I am a cat mom of 3 and SAHM of 2, living in Rochester, Minnesota. I recently found out that my 1st (fur) baby, Paxwell, has developed 3 mammary tumors which are spreading. The vet told me there’s an 80% or more chance that she has developed cancer. Living on a single funded household, I cannot afford to give her all of the treatment needed and I am absolutely heartbroken.

To give a little context about Pax: she is a 10 year old, unspayed female with no previous issues or illnesses. She’s never been pregnant, my two boys are fixed, and she is an exclusively indoor cat. She has been with me through every journey and milestone since she was a kitten. She’s my baby, and I want to be able to do everything that I can to save her and keep her healthy and happy with her family and brothers (my two other cats). She needs bloodwork, scans, full mammary surgery, spaying and potentially chemo. I want to get her taken care of as soon as I possibly can, so the tumors don’t spread even more and her quality of life declines. Right now, she’s acting like her normal chirpy self, but looking up the statistics doesn’t help me feel much better.
