Help with Patrick’s Housing.

I never thought I’d have to write one of these for myself, yet here I am. It is a bit embarrassing and humbling to have to ask for this kind of help, so your sensitivity is appreciated.
Back in May I decided to move in a roommate to help with expenses. Turns out he had some active addiction issues and the guy went full on psychotic back in July after using meth. This was the day after I spent a day at Disneyland with my nephew celebrating his birthday. Things were better for a short time, but he used again recently when we had the bad storm that caused a lot of flooding in Palm Springs. He disappeared for awhile, but turned up in Tennessee.
Long story short…a few days ago he agreed to terminate his portion of the lease, but I will have to cover his portion of the rent, $800, and pay the landlord $2000 to cover my former roommate’s part of the deposit, plus unpaid utilities. This has left me in a bit of a bind since rent is due tomorrow.
Unfortunately, that’s the story and how I found myself in a crunch to keep my housing. Any help is appreciated more than you probably realize. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me privately.
XOXO
Patrick
