Help with Paco's Surgery Bill

Hi Friends,
My mom's dog Paco the Beagle is currently admitted at the Specialty Hospital incurring many bills. We are asking for your help. Anything you can contribute is much appreciated.
Background:
On Christmas Eve Paco tried to jump on the air mattress that is really low to the ground. He yelped in pain. We gave him pain meds and tried to get him to rest. We then noticed he couldn't move his back legs.
Paco was taken to two different hospitals including Banfield where all of his primary care is done. After an exhausting and painful excursion to try to find him care, he was finally transferred to the Specialty Hospital in San Diego to see the neurologist specialist.
He underwent an emergency MRI and was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). A surgeon was consulted, after reviewing the case he concluded Paco needed spine surgery to correct the disc. This type of surgery has a 94% success rate that Paco would heal, walk again, urinate on his own and live a normal life. The surgery cost $12,000.
My mom who is not working, on medical leave and waiting for her disability claim to be decided by the state, had to pull out her retirement fund to get the surgery done and give Paco a chance. This is a massive financial burden on her.
Paco is recovering from surgery but unfortunately has not regained motor function in his back legs. The plan was to discharge him when he is able to hold himself up, take a few steps and urinate on his own. This delay in healing and motor function means he will stay at this hospital longer. Every day is costing more and more money.
My mom lives alone and Paco is her best friend. They are inseparable, he is my brother. We have done what we can for my mom but we are asking our beloved community for help.
Paco is an otherwise healthy, happy boy. Please help my mom give him a chance to keep going.
We are looking into wheel chairs for dogs and other solutions including physical therapy which as you can imagine will cost more money. More updates coming soon.
