My family unexpectedly and suddenly lost my father this week.

He was my mother’s primary financial support, as well as her physical caretaker, and his sudden death creates a void financially and physically, in addition to the emotional devastation we are all feeling.

My sister and I are also now faced with gathering the funds for our father to be cremated.

Any funds donated to this will go directly to the cost of our father’s cremation and assisting with our mother's bills as we navigate preparing their house for sale and finding her a place to live.

While we have not finalized plans for our dad’s celebration of life, and it will likely be held in October, I am setting a service date on this fundraiser for Sept. 30 as kind of a benchmark date for when we hope to have paid the funeral home for his cremation services.
