Hello! We are Karl & Sam the owners of Brewbear cafe in the Brighton lanes, we have been open since November 2025 so are still a really young company and we have been hit with a severe blow in our first 3 months.

We landed on the name Brewbear back in 2020 when we started out just as a Jam making business running from our kitchen during lockdown and then last year when we finally made the move into a physical space we obviously wanted to stick with our name and branding.

Unfortunately, in the mean time, another Brewbear popped up and trade marked the name without us realising in 2023 and we are now being handed a cease and desist on trading under Brewbear.

This is obviously very frustrating and sad but we haven't really got a choice so we're rebranding (which is also kind of exciting in its own right). But, of course all of this is going to cost money that as a new business we simply don't have.

We would really appreciate any contribution you can spare to help us pay for our forced rebranding costs.
