Hi, My name is Tom, and I've created this fundraiser for Oscar Ugaz-Nieves.

Oscar had a swimming accident during a visit to his family in Germany that affected his spine, and he is temporarily disabled to move by himself. The doctor said it might take up to a year for him to recover fully. He is re-learning how to walk and still does not have full command of his left arm.

This injury is significant and will impact Oscar's ability to work in the coming months. The family has also incurred a heavy debt in medical bills with his surgery and rehab in Germany due to not having insurance.
