Help with Oscar's Funeral Arrangements

February 3, 1973- January 31, 2022

We tragically lost Oscar on Monday, January 31, 2022. Oscar did not have any family here in the states and his mother would love to have him come home to rest in Puebla, Mexico. I understand these are trying times, but if you can donate any little bit counts.

 

I want to support Oscar’s family to give him the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory, and say their last goodbyes. His family is trying to find a way to get his body released to them and then be transported back home to Mexico where the funds raised will be used for a proper burial.

 

His departure has saddened me because he was a great friend! It feels unreal to know he is no longer with us. Oscar loved to help, was always kind, and was ready for any task.

One memory I will always cherish is, one day we were walking out of a store and Oscar noticed a young woman who was stalled in the street. He asked me to get her out of the traffic, I was hesitant because we were on work hours but he was persistent and said we had to help her. Together we got the woman out of traffic and Oscar proceeded to ask her what was wrong. The woman told us she had run out of gas and didn’t have anything to go get gas. Oscar did not rest until we found a gas container, obtained the gas, filled the woman’s car with the gas, and watch her be on her way. Oscar did not need a reason or praise to help others. He always did his best to help those around him even if he did not know them.

Oscar was a caring person, with lots of joy in his heart. When someone is as kind and loving as he was he will always be remembered.

 

This is a small token to support a friend who has left us too soon and allow him to rest in peace where he hoped to be in, his home sweet home with his mother in Puebla, Mexico.

Perdimos trágicamente a Oscar el lunes 31 de Enero de 2022. Oscar no tenía familia aquí en los Estados Unidos y a su madre le encantaría que volviera a descansar a Puebla, México. Entiendo que estos son tiempos difíciles, pero si pueden donar, cualquier cantidad cuenta.

 

Quiero apoyar a la familia de Oscar para honrar su memoria y darle el último adiós. Su familia está tratando de encontrar una manera de que les entreguen su cuerpo y luego lo transporten de regreso a México, donde los fondos recaudados se utilizarán para un entierro adecuado.

 

Su partida me ha entristecido porque era un gran amigo! Se siente irreal saber que ya no está con nosotros. A Oscar le encantaba ayudar, siempre era amable y estaba listo para cualquier tarea.

Un recuerdo que siempre atesoraré es que un día estábamos saliendo de una tienda y Oscar notó a una mujer joven que estaba parada en la calle. Me pidió que la sacara del tráfico, dudé porque estábamos en horas de trabajo, pero él fue persistente y dijo que teníamos que ayudarla. Juntos sacamos a la mujer del tráfico y Oscar procedió a preguntarle qué le pasaba. La mujer nos dijo que se había quedado sin gasolina y que no tenía nada para ir a buscar gasolina. Oscar no descansó hasta que encontramos un contenedor de gasolina, obtuvimos la gasolina, llenamos el auto de la mujer con gasolina y la observamos seguir su camino. Oscar no necesitaba una razón o un elogio para ayudar a los demás. Siempre hizo todo lo posible para ayudar a quienes lo rodeaban, incluso si no los conocía.

 

Oscar era una persona cariñosa, con mucha alegría en su corazón. Cuando alguien es tan amable y amoroso como él, siempre será recordado.

Esta es una pequeña muestra para apoyar a un amigo que nos ha dejado demasiado pronto y permitirle descansar en paz donde esperaba estar, su hogar dulce hogar con su madre en Puebla, México.

 

Me gustaría agregar que mi nombre es Juan Castro y Oscar era mi muy buen amigo, y estoy organizando esto en nombre de la familia. Todos los ingresos van a la familia.
