Help with Nate's Next Step
Donation protected
On Sunday, March 12th, Nate was involved in a snowboarding accident that caused him to go over an embankment where he collided with a tree. His femur took the brunt of the impact causing it to break in half. It took 6 people to get him down the mountain and into an ambulance. He was sent into emergency surgery, where they inserted 5 screws and a 2 foot titanium rod into his leg. As a result of the accident, Nate cannot walk or move freely which means he is unable to work for 3 to 6 months, at least. Nevertheless, Nate is doing his best to heal and have a positive outlook on what is to come!
As a young professional in the restaurant industry, he is one of many that don’t have the luxury of affording health insurance. Due to the lack of insurance, this accident has left him with an exorbitant amount of debt that would intimidate anyone. We are incredibly thankful for the medical professionals that took care of Nate and that the accident was not worse. However, the weight of $90,000 in medical bills and aftercare is a huge responsibility to take on.
We, his family and friends, are hard at work trying to look into possible solutions for these bills, but we are ultimately running out of options and available funds. We now humbly turn to our friends, family, community, and anyone who has had the honor of getting to know just how much of an amazing person Nate is. It is from the bottom of our hearts that we ask you to share this link with family, friends, and if possible, donate to Nate’s recovery. Anything and everything helps. Thank you everyone for your support and well wishes!
