Help with my uncle's left hand surgery.

As many friends and family know, a few months ago I was the victim of an assault in the Dominican Republic.

I was on my way to work when two individuals on a motorcycle intercepted me. During the assault I got shot in the chest, traveling the bullet across my chest and landing on the other side. When they shot me, I fell to the floor, landing on one hand, which caused a fracture in my left wrist (I'm left handed).

Since the bullet was still in my body when I arrived at the hospital, they put a cast on me without placing the bone where it goes because they focused on the gunshot wound.

They removed the bullet and I healed from it, but when I went back to see the orthopedist three weeks later and got the cast removed, the bone had already hardened in place.

The doctor sent me to physical therapy and after 4 months and 40 sessions, I still have limited movement and little use of my hand, which is why I have not been able to return to work.

I changed doctors and the new doctor sent me to do some MRIs and told me that I need surgery.

They gave me a quote for the surgery and I need a little help to complete the payment for it. I'm asking friends and family to help with whatever you can.

Como muchos amigos y familiares saben, hacen unos meses fuí víctima de un asalto en República Dominicana.

Iba camino a mi trabajo cuando me interceptaron dos individuos en una motocicleta para robarme. Durante el asalto me dieron un disparo en el pecho quedando la bala dentro al otro costado del pecho. Cuando me dispararon caí al piso apoyandome en una mano que causó una fractura en la muñeca izquierda (la cual es mi mano diestra).

Como quedó el proyectil dentro, al llegar al hospital me pusieron un yeso sin colocarme el hueso donde va porque se concentraron más en la herida de bala.

Me sacaron la bala y sané de eso pero cuando regresé a ver al ortopeda a las tres semanas, me quitaron el yeso y ya habia endurecido el hueso.

El doctor me envió a terapia física y después de 4 meses y 40 sesiones, sigo con movimiento limitado y poco uso de mi mano izquierda, razón por la cual no he podido regresar a trabajar.

Cambié de médico y la doctora nueva me mandó a hacer unas resonancias y me dijo que necesito cirugía.

Me dieron un presupuesto para la cirugía y necesito una ayudita para completar el pago de la operación. Por este medio les pido a mis amigos y familiares ayudar con lo que puedan.
