update:EVERYONE PLEASE SHARE!!!! I NEED YOUR HELP TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THIS!!

BC Transit driver turned left in front of me while I had solid green light, the accident broke my scaphoid bone in my wrist, which requires 8 to 12 weeks of healing. (Which I have not been able to take time off due to no paid wages or pennies when they did pay -didn’t even cover rent) to date they have not submitted dash footage.
My dog lost his life in the accident at just seven months old. At first they claimed they wouldn’t cover anything. 5 weeks of fighting they said they would.

I received a 2 inch laceration between my middle and ring finger that has caused me to lose sensation in my fingertips on both of the affected fingers that wound was ripped open and got infected due to lack of proper healthcare attention because of ICBC failing to pay for care.

Five weeks later ICBC declared BC transit 100% at fault for the accident.
As of today the police are not pressing any driving infraction charges despite several calls to the Saanich Police Department because he was not impaired and no human life was lost.

I paid for additional wage top up benefits prior to the accident yet was told I was eligible for nine dollars an hour as a wage top up for 90% of my wages despite my wages being $50 an hour and my total income for the year reaching about 150,000

I paid extra for total loss protection and found out today that it only covers the financed ($16,275 left owing) portion of the car which they have deemed my 2020 vehicle to only be worth $10,000 yet market value is ranging from $17,000-$20,000 currently online. After being mislead that total loss would provide me with a payout for a new vehicle I signed a contract and used $2000 of my FINALLY received personal care money to pay a non-refundable deposit on a new vehicle as I was told I had 3 days to find something from the day I got the number, and as a result, I am now left, unable to purchase the new vehicle due to being off of work for the last five weeks.

I tried to be a responsible adult and business owner and maxed out all of my insurance directly to protect me in a situation like this and yet here I am with my life turned upside down and every lawyer I contact both on and off the island says I can’t help. Where do you go from here? I can’t work my job without a vehicle. I work the entire island?!

make this make sense.

I try to follow the rules and be a good human and here we are why bother. Nobody care’s anyways…

Hi my name is Lainey Brooker and I’m raising funds to help cover medical and living expenses since my motor vehicle accident with a bc transit bus; where the driver made an illegal left hand turn without using turning indicator trying to race between me and the car ahead of me. at the time it was dark and raining so I had left a little extra space for break time, unfortunately due to the rainy conditions and him trying to race between us even slamming on my brakes did nothing and I continued to slide a 55 km an hour into the side of the bus at the point of impact I flew forward and my dog was flung into the air. I attempted to reach out and catch him where the airbag bent my hand backwards, breaking my scaphoid bone in my wrist. This bone is known to be the most difficult bone to heal due to lack of blood supply and the risk of cutting the blood supply off entirely from the break. My puppy which I failed to catch, was then crushed between the windshield and the airbag of my passenger seat dashboard, he landed on the passenger seat when the car came to a stop I reached over to grab him where he bit my hand. I picked him up anyways and held him as his body became limp in my arms. We took him to the vet where they said services would start at $10,000 with a very unlikely chance of saving his life at that time we opted for euthanasia despite having dash cam footage police will not press any driving infractions due to the no fault law no lawyers, personal injury or otherwise will even offer basic advice also as a result of the new, no fault law BC transit won’t even offer a basic apology. They maintain the no fault law makes them have no responsibility here I have not heard from them since the second day after the accident.
We’re now 15 days post accident; 8 days in a cast. My wound has been ripped open again from over use, I’ve been without income since the accident despite having paid extra to ICBC as business insurance, ensuring that I would get full wage top up, I’ve had 4 bills bounce forcing me to open a new bank about due to nsf fees pilling up from my bank, as well as the companies seeking payment applying NSF fees at their own, I can’t afford the dressing for wound packing which starts at $250. I’m down to my last 1 of 50 (given 8 days ago prescribed 2 tabs 4x daily-do the math for those of you calling me drug seeking) pain meds so I’m stretching them out and spending most of every day in agony unable to stay in any one position for any length of time. I can’t cook or clean or bathe on my own - i had to pay my loctician to detox my dreads because they hadn’t been washed in nearly 3 weeks. and have no income for take out. I paid extra for wage top up and yet here I am 2 weeks in struggling to survive with no income supplement or care provider which has likely cause long term healing issues in my hand and wrist and every says “not my fault” just hoping there are a few people out there that are willing to help get me by until I can figure out all the hoops they want me to jump through
