Hello Everyone,

My name is Irika, and I'm here to reach out for help. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in June and had no idea of the financial struggles I would face when I started this journey.

I had to stop working for me to begin my treatment back in July and I was surprised to find out that the company I worked for had no short term or long-term medical coverage. I then had to apply for E.I which lowered my income to 55% of the income I was bringing home while working. My reduced income has severely strained my family and me financially, which is why I am here.

Some of you may already know the cost of cancer medications is very high but in the same breath, mandatory for proper treatment. Not to mention the cost of living these days. I have 3 children and one who has Type 1 Diabetes which also requires meds and equipment for his care. I have exhausted my family and friends with requests for help to get my medication, food and to help me pay my bills and manage my rent. I am in the middle of chemotherapy and will have a mastectomy at the end of chemo, followed by radiation.

For me to manage over the next several months, I'm hoping to find help by reaching out to you, the public. Every donation is very much appreciated. No amount is too small.
