Help with Mocha’s urgent care due to heat stroke

A day before one of the hottest days of the year so far our AC decided to stop working, my parents were flying back from San Francisco, and my sister and I weren’t home, Mocha was left alone in the safety of our house for just a couple of hours. But when I got home last night from work around 9:15pm, I found Mocha breathing heavily but totally unresponsive laying with her belly up in front of the bathroom, and there was vomit everywhere. When I tried picking her up to make her stand she would just fall back down, so I rushed her to the closest animal urgent care, with her body totally limp and still not aware of anything, and turns out her temperature was at 106 degrees Fahrenheit and she was suffering from a heat stroke. This was at 9:30pm.

They had to put her on oxygen and began trying to cool her down and giving her fluids, sedatives, a ton of antibiotics, and steroids, and throughout the night they were constantly watching her to ensure she was still alive since she was in critical condition essentially the entire night. The vet also had blood tests done and found that the heat had caused her white blood cell counts to lower and almost ‘shrivel’, and this is a dangerous situation for her body. They took an x-ray and found one of her lungs was also compromised, and for a moment in the early morning thought she may become blind and/or paralyzed.

This morning she was a little better, and we got the call that she had pneumonia, most likely from inhaling the vomit as a result of the heat stroke. Her white blood cells are still extremely low, and there is a chance that she may need plasma transfusions to her liver (and possibly other organs). She was able to stand and seems to be a little more responsive and aware, as well as ate a tiny bit of food.

The treatment is going to end up costing a lot of money, since she has to stay at the urgent care for a few days running tests and being monitored (and this is not cheap), as well as any future treatments and transfusions to her organs that she might still need if she reaches a more stable state.

My family would really appreciate any help we can get in paying for all of this so we can bring her back home (after the AC gets fixed so she can be safe here again). We love her and need her back home with us.
