Help with Michael Hassan’s Healing!

Ya’ll know what happened, but in case you don’t- here goes... Our dear friend, brother, and son, Michael Hassan was critically injured in a car accident caused by a drunk driver on Friday, November 8th. It only takes a split second to turn the world upside down, which is exactly where we are with Mike in the hospital. Mike is a hard-working college student with a passion for social justice and social change. His very presence makes each moment a bit better and a bit brighter. We can all recall a time when Mike made us feel special just by being him.
From his involvement in Gospel Choir, to CRS, to Peace Studies, to leading a social justice retreat, to the Black Student Union, to the multitude of other activities he’s involved in, Mike has touched each of us. As we pray for his healing and full recovery, there are also practical matters to be attended to. From rent, to insurance, to other bills Mike would be paying, to also his family’s expenses going to and from the hospital to be with him, missing work, advocating for him, and simply being with him, there are very real expenses to be attended to.
Whether we are able to be with Mike and his family during this time or are letting him recover quietly, we can help!
As the uncertain days ahead are unfolding, let us wrap up Mike’s family in the love we experience from him!
